22nd June 2016

Stuart Banks CI Manager and members of the Dyer Engineering Target Zero team , Mariya Reed, Peter Edgell and Michael Foggin visited Cummins HHP plant in Daventry on 21st June 2016 on a fact finding mission.

The  visit  arranged between the 2 companies allowed  Dyer Engineering Target Zero team members to view the parts manufactured by Dyer Engineering being fitted onto the engine with the goal of identifying  potential cost savings or methods to improve manufacturing methods to eradicate quality concerns.

Cummins Engines and Dyer Engineering enjoy an excellent  longstanding business relationship.  Working together we share respective knowledge to allow a greater team understanding of both the manufacture of individual parts and  their application onto the finished engine.

Quality and CI employees from both Cummins Engines  and Dyer Engineering drive an ongoing CI programme to create initiatives,  six sigma projects and new ideas which focus on cost, quality and lead time improvements.
