A team of eleven intrepid cyclists from Dyer Engineering have successfully completed the iconic Coast to Coast (C2C) cycle route, raising over £1,000 for North East charity, Red Sky Foundation.
The C2C route, widely regarded as the UK’s most popular challenge cycle route, spans 138 miles from Whitehaven in Cumbria to Roker in Sunderland. Over three gruelling days, the Dyer Engineering team pedalled through diverse terrains, covering an average of 45 miles each day, taking on the challenge to support the foundation’s mission of providing crucial cardiac care to babies, children, and adults.
Starting their journey in the picturesque coastal town of Whitehaven, the team pushed through intervals of sun, rain and the rolling landscapes of Northern England, finally reaching the shores of Roker.
“We are immensely proud of the team for completing this challenging route and raising vital funds for such an important cause,” said Dan Tracey, Business Development Manager. “The Red Sky Foundation’s work in providing lifelong support to individuals with heart conditions and their families is invaluable, and we are proud to contribute to their mission.”
The funds raised will aid the Red Sky Foundation in continuing their efforts to offer comprehensive cardiac care and support to those in need across the region.
