Expansion and Investment: 60 new engineering jobs confirmed

12th June 2013

Dyer Engineering’s ambitious £2.5 million expansion plans for its base in Annfield Plain Co. Durham were boosted by a successful application for a £651,000 grant through the Let’s Grow campaign.

Dyer Engineering’s plans include a 19,000 sq. ft. factory extension and a £1m investment in new machinery creating 60 new skilled jobs at the County Durham facility with a further £215,000 investment in upskilling the existing workforce.

Richard Bradley (Finance Director), commented “investment in the company’s facilities and high-quality equipment will lead to a growth in turnover over the next two years. Our turnover currently stands at circa £8m and we’re looking to increase it by at least 50% over the next three years. This programme of investment will enable us to achieve those targets. We will be creating a varied range of jobs, ranging from apprentices to highly skilled production engineers.”

The news confirms Dyer Engineering’s continuing commitment to invest in the future of the business and its people.
