My job is to look after the cash and keep the business safe
Our pursuit for excellence in manufacturing “challenging” fabricated and machined, metal components and delivering related services, drives our desire to continuously pursue an improvement focused culture, where we constantly innovate SMARTER ways of doing things.
Additionally, the application of our expert knowledge and experience of manufacturing metal components, means we can reduce the cost and improve the flow of our Customers products at the earliest opportunity.
Last year our Team generated 257 opportunities to improve across all areas of the business, via our online OTI (Opportunities to Improve) System. These improvements were driven from all levels of the team, and resulted in significant improvements to our business operations and results – that’s SmarterStrongerTogether.
A single idea to utilise magnetic rubber instead of masking tape during our painting operations has saved the business in excess of £50K, to date and significantly reduced our waste – that’s SmarterStrongerTogether.
By constantly striving to embrace digital technology over 50% of our business transactions are now paperless (saving over 2000 hours of Administration effort per year) and we are targeting to increase to 90% in the next year – that’s SmarterStrongerTogether.
We vigorously drive the “economic engine” of our business by improving our productivity, whilst simultaneously reducing the costs associated with our activities to become STRONGER.
We encourage all employees to become directly engaged in the financial performance and outcomes of the business. We believe a STRONGER business, where we generate sustained and robust cash flow and profitability, is a safe and secure one, which enables us to sustain, invest and endure long into the future.
Our capability to deliver our Customers needs from a single source makes us STRONGER. By providing a complete service for fabricated, machined, painted and assembled metal components our Customer’s avoid the need to manage multiple suppliers, and benefit from products with a lower total cost of ownership – that’s SmarterStrongerTogether.
We constantly engage with our Customers at the design stage to reduce their product costs, an in one particular case we collaborated via their DQR (Design Quality Review) process 148 times last year, which avoided them costs in excess of £200K – that’s SmarterStrongerTogether.
Our BatchLine Fabrication Team initiated an exercise, themed on Formula One pit-stop turnarounds called “Up In Smoke”. This shop-floor driven team achieved outstanding savings of £10K in under 3 months – that’s SmarterStrongerTogether.
Our genuine passion is to impress our customers, our team and our community and to achieve this our team, work tirelessly TOGETHER to build relationships based on honesty, integrity and trust, amongst ourselves and all of our stakeholders.
At the heart of how we work TOGETHER and impress Customers is collaboration. Our flexible approach to establishing collaborative working partnerships with our Customer allows us to benefit from lasting and enduring relationships.
Our annual Employee Survey measures the feelings and satisfaction of our team, is an excellent tool, giving us great insight to the thoughts and feelings of our people, allowing us to identify and focus on ways in which we can improve the culture – that’s SmarterStrongerTogether.
Last year Cummins awarded us their EMEA Supplier Quality Award. This award was given in recognition of our performance as a supplier and also reflects the collaboration and support we share with one of our key Customers – that’s SmarterStrongerTogether.
